A catch-all e-mailbox is one that gathers all the emails sent to inactive email addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but somebody miswrites it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Just one single mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and in this way you’ll never miss messages because the other party has an obsolete address or has made a spelling error. The downside of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving plenty of spam email messages, but this problem can be solved by using anti-spam filtering software. It’s also crucial to keep in mind that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all feature cannot redirect incoming messages to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

In case you host a domain name on our cloud hosting platform and you’ve got a shared hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any mailbox that you set up under the domain. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section comes with quite a few functions, but it’s stunningly user-friendly, so configuring a catch-all mailbox takes just a single mouse click. All the email addresses that you have created will be enumerated in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll simply have to click on the "Catch-all" button for the particular address. Our system will alert you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either disable the latter feature or choose some other mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all feature is just as simple and requires yet another mouse click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all email address can be created with a few clicks in case you have a semi-dedicated plan with our company. The semi-dedicated account will be managed via our in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll be able to set up mailboxes under any domain hosted here. To enable the catch-all feature for a particular mailbox, you’ll need to click the button with the same name, which will be to the right of each mailbox. Disabling this functionality can be accomplished in the same fashion and will not require more than one click either. In case the catch-all feature has already been activated for a particular domain, you’ll receive a warning message. The same goes if the mailbox that you wish to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never deactivate or alter any feature automatically.
